How-To Tuesday

Today I made a piece of art for my space at work.

I say a piece of art because that is all I can consider it. It is definitely one of those Pinterest ideas that look easier than they really are.

This is what you will need:

A canvas and the words you want printed out in the font you like in different sizes.

You will need to cut all of your words out. I did not cut the letters out separately because I figured if you keep them as a word the spacing will be better and they will be easier to keep straight.

Figure out where you want them then mod podge them on.
I mod podged the whole board so it would be the same texture.

Now you trace the letters with your glue gun. This is where it gets hard. Flooding the big letters and keeping it all smooth is the hardest part.

If you mess up, that's ok. Let it dry and you can peel it off and try again.

When the glue dries, top it with a few coats of spray paint.

Since I am hanging it on my wall I painted the border a color that went with my room.

And there you go. Believe me when I say the hot glue part is not easy.

GOOD LUCK!

See you tomorrow.

love.

Just another Manic Monday

Real life starts today. I will finally have to act like an adult and conduct my life on a schedule. I will start being at my work from 9 am to 5pm Monday thru Friday.

This is good because it will allow me to get a lot of things done. I literally will be sitting up there just waiting for walk-in grooms when I don't have appointments.

This means I craft and work on my book! And stay on top of my blog! Yay!

Now let me just explain to you about last week. Last week was hectic. I know I use that excuse a lot but for reals. I was busy and sick. Fun.

I am not going to have a review but I will take you back to a few days of last week.

Last Friday I participated in a Mother's Day out to promote our new business. They also gave some of my wine glasses away as prizes!

The rest of the weekend I found myself at my friend Brooke's house, drinking and lounging by the pool.

Tuesday we went to the Astros game with my friend Brooke, her husband, and her baby. It was his first Astros game!
That's the boys in their rally caps, me lookin like a tard, and boyfriend carrying the baby. He has daddy tendencies somewhere in there!

Wednesday was a special day. It was the 5 year anniversary since my mom passed away. Every year we go to Galveston to either go to the beach or just eat lunch. Since it was on a week day this year we just ate lunch and had some drinks. It was a perfect day!

I weighed in high on Wednesday but I also weighed myself after all of the liquor and food..

I did start the Kinnect workout and let me tell you that it is kicking my butt but I am trying!

Weekend Recap

1. My little cousin graduated High School.

Getting it ready...

June 1st aka Saturday is going to bring some changes.

Changes that will better my lifestyle and hopefully save me some money.

As for Weigh-In Wednesday, I was disappointed. I gained weight but I kind of suspected that from being on vacation.

This leads to the first lifestyle change. On the first I will start the 30 day squat challenge and will start the Kinnect Nike fitness. Lets see if this will help.

The second change will be not going out and spending money to go to bars. I am over it and want to focus on my work, house, and relationship.

I am still working on uploading my vlog that is 24 minutes long. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow.

Throwback Thursday
This is my dad, my grandpa, and I coloring Easter Eggs. I am assuming that is my  mom's glass of wine. I don't fall far from the tree. I always have been a little devious. Just look at that smirk.

See you tomorrow!

Vacation is over!

Hello Tuesday!

Today is not going to be a How-to, I just couldn't wait to get my blogging week started!

It was one for the books, again. I love that my weekends have all been really good lately. Life is good.

I learned a few things this weekend and also decided, again, that is time to make some change around this neck of the woods.

Let me just recap the weekend for you.

Like most Southern Texas people do, we spent the past FIVE days at the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas.

We rented a duplex, both sides, and had 20 of our friends there.

Overall it was a blast but along with a  good group does come drama, unfortunately. That aside, we still had a blast. Here is some highlights!

This is our house we stayed in. It was so nice. We plan on going back next year!

Here is a pretty big part of a group partying on the porch.

Boyfriend and I in our Memorial Day River Trip shirts

Partying on the pier.

Watching the party from the balcony

Some of the girls on the first night.

Pretty awesome panorama

American.

Boyfriend and I on the river. Time to get strict on Weigh-In Wednsdays

Drinking some wine...slappin the bag they call it!

A friend and I on the river

Dancing with some sandwiches.

Well now that we are updated on that, let me just say that living in your bathing suit for five days is definitely motivation for Weigh-In Wednesday. This girl will be skinnier by her next river trip. (end of June)

I also have an announcement today. I have found some projects that I plan on doing for my house and business and will be sharing them with you. So How-To Tuesday will be back next week. Get excited!

See you tomorrow.

My Review
As you know, last Thursday I took my little sister to the Taylor Swift concert.

I was super impressed with it. She put on an awesome show.

We all left feeling a little famous and like Taylor's best friends. If you have the chance to go, you definitely need to!

Brett Elderidge and Ed Sheerhan opened for her and they were also amazing.
